We have a new rule in our family, which states that if we do not visit a Farmer's Market at least once a week, we are doomed. Luckily, Grandmas Pat and Sue have a market within a few blocks of where they live, modest, but more than adequate. Sylvia had her first taste of juice (fresh, organic, apple). Her reaction? "JUICE!" No surprise there.
Unbeknownst to me, the grandmas surreptitiously purchased several sugary treats with which to fete my birthday in an early celebration!

The next day, we headed over to Aunty Caitlin and Uncle Neil's for a Rosser family get-together. But first we took some time to enjoy the "boat park" in Golden Gate Park. Sylvia, of course, headed straight for the swings:

Here's cousin Charlie getting his pirate on:

Grandma Sue was a big hit with the boys as the monster under the slide. (Who knew monsters were so well dressed?)

We neglected to bring another warm layer for Sylvia, so mama gave up her jacket:

At the Hasser household, Aunty Meg brought out the guitar, and we were immediately enveloped in a full-blown singalong. Charlie took the lead early on, substituting key words to well-known songs with the word "butt." As in, Twinkle Twinkle Little Butt. Ah, four year olds!

Here's Aunty Caitlin and cousin Cole (whose name Sylvia thinks is "cold," which is what she signs whenever she sees his photo):

A rare couple of shots of the three cousins all together:

Love this photo of Cole!

The day after that, we visited Great-Grandma Betty and Great-Grandpa Marcial in South City. They were impressed at her growth, her words, and her appetite!

And just before we left, Aunty Bridget came to visit at the grandmas' house. As a courier for Kaushal Mamu (uncle), she brought us special gifts from Fiji, including a small wooden sea turtle, stainless steel bowls that Sylvia has appropriated for a version of the shell game, and a giant package of Nani's lime pickle (a gift that, for Mama and Daddy, is worth its weight in gold).

I love how Sylvia is making eyes at Bridget in this photo:

So many friends and relatives in the Bay Area, and never enough time to get a really good visit. We just have to visit more often!
