Contact your reps in the House to ask them to support H.R. 2169: The Clean Water Protection Act.
This bill closes loopholes made by the Bush administration to allow mining and other industrial wastes to run off into our nation's rivers and streams, which poisons water supplies and increases the danger of flooding. (This goes well with the Bushies' belief that we can handle more arsenic and lead in our water.) The bill will also in effect curtail the mining industry's razing of the Appalachians.
